Victim Services of Middlesex County is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to supporting victims of crime and/or tragic circumstance. Victim Services of Middlesex County provides responsive, accessible and accountable programs and services. Victim Services of Middlesex County's focus is on restoring and enhancing victims’ quality of life and preventing re-victimization. Victim Services of Middlesex County offers: 1. Immediate on-site support & crisis intervention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 2. Assessment of victim’s needs and linkages to agencies and resources in the victim’s local community 3. Referral to appropriate programs and services Victim Services of Middlesex County is funded by the Ministry of the Attorney General and through private donations. Referrals are made primarily through Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service and Ontario Provincial Police. Services are available to the public in English and French, the two official languages of Canada. However, Victim Services of Middlesex County also provides services to persons who identify a need for service in a language that is neither English nor French. Victim Services of Middlesex County accommodates persons with disabilities in a manner that most respects the dignity of the person. Accommodations are individually assessed and made based upon their specific needs.
